I’m a mom of boys. My home is filled with trucks, cars, garbage trucks, semi-trucks, and Paw Patrol. I felt a bit like I was not in Kansas anymore during this session. Three girls. So much pink. Tutus. Stuffed animals. Bows. I loved it SO much! I could have stayed all day for a tea party and nail painting! In spite of all the differences, however, I found that there were many similarities between this household and my own. The love was real. The girls loved each other. They also picked on each other (quite familiar). They loved playing, rough housing, and getting and giving hugs, and so much more! I think no matter if you have a house of boys or a house of girls, one thing is true. You couldn’t picture it any other way. Nor would you want to!
I had so much fun hanging out with them. The older girls had a lot to tell me, the baby was as squishy as can be, and the game of Candy Land was a fight to the finish! These days of raising littles are so precious and I always consider it an honor to be invited into family’s homes to capture just how sweet it all is.
